The department has at its disposal two angiograph laboratories, equipped with the latest generation of bi-plane angiographic apparatuses.
The contemporary equipment allows the team to conduct all types of highly specialized invasive vascular examinations and procedures including:
• Cardiac Catheterization
• Angiography of coronary, cerebral, peripheral, renal and visceral arteries
• Selective pulmonoangiography
• Intravascular ultrasound
• Percutaneous coronary interventions
• Percutaneous valvuloplasty of the mitral and aortic valves
• Cavography
• Pacemaker implantation
• Two-chambered cardiostimulation resynchronization therapy
• Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) implantation
The department also performs other relativity new and highly specialized vascular procedures, which are unique to the region and require highly specialized equipment including: endoaortic prosthesis, carotid stenting, angioplasty of the peripheral, visceral, and renal arteries, rotoblation, A-V fistulas closing with a coil, endomyocardial biopsies, embolization (in the case of treating vascular tumors), vena cava inferior filter implantation due to Pulmonary thromboembolism PTE and others.
